Located in the province of Cuneo, on the edge of the Langhe, Biraghi S.p.A. was founded in 1934 by Ferruccio Biraghi. At the beginning it was a simple artisan dairy business, but then, thanks to technology advanced equipment, it quickly became what today is a modern and innovative company. It is this combination between traditional craftsmanship and the use of cutting-edge technology that has taken Biraghi to a prestigious position in the cheeses production and dairy products market. Biraghi S.p.A. plants are located in Cavallermaggiore, Piedmont, in the province of Cuneo, and cover an area of 166.500 square metres. All production processes take place there, from milk collection to the final production of GranBiraghi cheese, Gorgonzola D.O.P., Butter and Ricotta. Production is carried out adopting methods and hygiene of the highest possible standards. Both GranBiraghi and Gorgonzola D.O.P. are seasoned in special storerooms. At the end of the seasoning period required by each type of cheese, the forms are cut and packed, resulting in the delicious GranBiraghi line (Biraghini, Freshly Grated, Wedges, Snacks and Flakes) and the excellent and practical packages of Gorgonzola D.O.P.
