ARTISANAL GELATO AT SIGEP 2015 – RIMINI FIERA FROM JANUARY 17th TO 21st
Rimini, 23rd May 2014 – Full speed ahead on work by the organization team on SIGEP 2015, the international expo that is world leader for artisan gelato and confectionery, an acknowledged reference point for bakery and the rapidly growing coffee chain, thanks to the international events scheduled. The 36th edition is being held from Saturday 17th to Wednesday 21st January at Rimini Fiera and, eight months from its staging, the great events in program have already been set.
The exceptional success of the last edition of SIGEP (174,000 visitors, 20,1% more than 2013), achieved also thanks to the positive inclusion of RHEX Ristorazione (Rimini Horeca Expo) with trends in food and beverage consumption away from home, in 2015 will have a further opportunity for development thanks to the simultaneously held A.B.TECH EXPO, the expo which became biennial after initially being held every three years and to which credit is due for having brought the entire bakery sector together under one expo roof, from the great quality of artisan products to the innovative industrial technology that makes absolutely top grade production possible.
SIGEP – the only expo in the world that represents the entire artisan gelato and confectionery chain – is acknowledged as undisputed leader in the presentation of trends, the great attraction for all the sector´s international trade members and now also for large investors from outside the sector. SIGEP is also the hub of the meetings of all the trade members and the means chosen by the sector´s companies for communicating with the market. All this makes SIGEP the undisputed world leader.
Rimini Fiera business unit manager Patrizia Cecchi explains, ´There promises to be a further increase in the expo – we´re working to ensure that, as well as the great success with trade visitors, there is also a constantly higher visitor profile, particularly that of those from abroad. All this in close collaboration with the key associations and thus with the enterprises, fundamental for sharing the coordinates for the expo´s expansion. We are very satisfied with the sales response up until now for SIGEP 2015, positive feedback for the growth of a sector combining big figures with very high quality.´
SIGEP Gelato d´Oro, with the selections of the Italian team for the 2016 Gelato World Cup and the Pastry Events (Junior World Championship and national pastry championships) will be the hub of the events, with the respective arenas dedicated to the performances of great Masters.
While the sales activity is concentrated on the January days, the organization team is constantly at work on the events connected with the SIGEP world, which have been boosted by the expo itself. Above all the Gelato World Tour which, from capital to capital, is covering the five continents to promote artisan gelato worldwide and will stage its grand finale in September on Rimini promenade. Then there´s World of Coffee 2014, the great event in June (from 10th to 12th) focussed on the coffee world, a sector completely integrated in SIGEP.
