Over 60 countries represented, with a focus on digitalization, circular economy, and new consumption trends.

Following the success of previous editions, drinktec is set to return from September 15 to 19, 2025, at the Munich Exhibition Center, confirming its role as a must-attend event for the entire beverage and liquid food supply chain. With five months to go before opening day, organizers report an impressive achievement: the exhibition halls are nearly sold out. All eleven halls are almost fully booked, with exhibitors from more than 60 countries confirmed. A truly global platform, ready to offer a comprehensive and concrete look at trends, technologies, and innovations.

Once again in 2025, drinktec stands out as the only event where complete filling, packaging, and processing systems can be seen in full operation—a unique technical experience that attracts professionals from around the world. The trade fair will occupy halls A5, A6, B4, B5, B6, and the entire C block (halls C1 to C6). This layout was also shaped by the proximity of IAA Mobility, which precedes drinktec and limits setup time. According to YONTEX, the goal is to ensure maximum efficiency in terms of installation, accessibility, and visibility for both exhibitors and visitors.

Beyond the exhibition area, the content program will play a key role. The heart of this edition will be the Liquidrome, a new thematic space in Hall C4 dedicated entirely to knowledge sharing, training, and networking. It will feature presentations, demonstrations, and discussions involving experts, visitors, and academia. The aim is to create a dynamic environment where innovation is not only displayed, but also interpreted and debated.

Three main themes will guide the program: “Lifestyle & Health”, exploring the growing demand for plant-based beverages, custom formulations, and the use of new ingredients and by-products; “Data2Value”, focusing on data usage, artificial intelligence, and predictive tools to optimize production, anticipate trends, and enhance every stage of the value chain; and “Circularity & Resource Management”, centered on sustainability, recycling, and the efficient use of resources—from wastewater treatment to material recovery and energy optimization.

Sustainability remains a top priority, backed by solid economic data. According to VDMA, in 2023 the German production of beverage packaging machinery rose by 18%, reaching €2.8 billion. Meanwhile, Euromonitor estimates that global sales of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will grow by 18% and 9%, respectively, by 2028—confirming a thriving industry increasingly focused on efficiency, traceability, and waste reduction.

Adding to the landscape will be the presence of agile startups, key players in shaping the future with digital, sustainable, and disruptive solutions showcased within the Liquidrome. “drinktec is built by experts for experts,” said Markus Kosak, Executive Director of the drinktec Cluster. “It is a meeting point for the entire industry, where tomorrow’s developments take shape.”

This is not just a fair that captures the present—it is designed to inspire transformation. In a time of profound technological and cultural change, drinktec 2025 positions itself as the ideal laboratory for imagining—and building—the future of the beverage industry.
